Kirstin Green

Co-Founder

Kirstin has been working in the development world for over 12 years. She has traveled and worked in a number of different countries and cultures, including West Africa, India, and China. Her life in philanthropic development work began in 2002 when she went to Ghana for 2½ years with the Peace Corps. Her life changed forever after this experience, and she and her partner Ryan still maintain a house, family and ongoing projects in rural Northern Ghana. Together they have organized and led five different groups of students to Ghana since 2005. It is this work that originally prompted the establishment of Community Wings as a tool to help make these projects more sustainable and beneficial to all those involved.

Kirstin also works as a professional chef and mosaic artist/teacher. She facilitates and guides groups of students through the process of creating large scale mosaic murals in schools and community spaces.
